A small success ;-)

After running for the recommendations for more than 3days I finally succeeded in getting two referees, both of who are very senior and report directly to the company chairman. One of those asked me to email him the things I need to be highlighted, because he believes I know myself better than anybody else and also know what the B schools require, isn’t it great?? ;-). The other referee, my boss, asked me to first write the SOP (essays in my case) and he would first like to edit them and then only he would write the recommendations, even this is not bad … well sincerely I didn’t expected this much from him, because he is a very very very ……..( upto infinity) busy guy, so feel its great on his part if he can review my essays, but even though he said that he would do I still doubt that, but for now I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. By the way I yesterday received my transcripts, was a bit of surprise to get them, because my University being a typical example of a government institution, I was taken by surprise to see that I got them within a month of placing an online order for those, (because I shared a feeling with a lot of people that one has to make several visits and put in a lot of effort to get that government machinery moving) but I was really moved to see that now just an email and a phone call to the controller of examination can get you work done. Three Cheers for my university ;-).

So my standing for now is

1. Gmat √

2. Toefl √

3. Applications forms (working on…. almost complete)

4. Transcripts √

5. Recommendations (sorted out)

6. Essays (not started but have developed some idea)

Anyways I gotta go now for my lunch and have a meeting after that, no matter what happens tonight I will today do some work on my essays at least try to come up with first draft.
